Event: Hornet Harrier and Commonwealth Challenge – 6K
Location: Winchester, Va. (hosted by Shenandoah University)
The Lead: The Hollins cross country team was finally back in action after a near month long break due to a scheduling issue at Sweet Briar, when they traveled north to compete at the 2025 Hornet Harrier and Commonwealth Challenge, hosted by Shenandoah University. The Green and Gold would place two runners in the top 15 while finishing 3
rd overall in the six-team event.
Highlights & Notes
- Madison Freideman earned a top 1o medal when the sophomore crossed the line 8th out of 39 runners. Freideman posted a final time of 27:41.9 over the 6K course.
- First-year Elizabeth Lowry was 14th making it two Hollins runners in the top 15, with a time of 28:59.8.
- Senior Sylvia Guillet was 16th with a time of 29:21.9 while Natalie Sullivan was next at 34:22.0.
- Chloe Beamer rounded out the scoring for HU finishing one spot ahead of teammate Mallory Foster.
