The Basics 
Event: Eagles Cross Country Challenge – 4K
Location: Bridgewater, Va. (hosted by Bridgewater College)

The Lead: The Hollins cross country team kicked off the 2025 campaign with a trip to Bridgewater to compete in a 4K race. The Green and Gold would field a team of six runners and finish 6th in the seven-team field. Washington and Lee won the event followed by the host Eagles while Shenandoah rounded out the top 3.

Highlights & Notes  

• Madison Freideman paced HU with a final time of 17:13.4 in her first collegiate meet. The Sophomore scored in the 23^rd spot and finished 38^th in the field of 79 runners.
• First-year Elizabeth Lowry was next in a time of 17:53.4 while senior Sylvia Guillet posted a time of 18:47.3.
• Natalie Sullivan recorded 41 points with her race of 20:55.8. Fellow first-year runners, Chloe Beamer and Mallory Foster finished back-to-back to complete the Hollins set of six runners.
