The Basics 
Event: Roanoke XC Invite/NCAA South Region Preview – 6K
Location: Salem, Va. (Green Hill Park)

The Lead: Saturday would see the Green and Gold travel the short distance to Salem to compete at the Roanoke XC Invitational. The Hollins harriers would be running the same Green Hill Park course that they will see in November at the NCAA South Regional meet. The field for the 6K event would see runners from 32 different schools across all three divisions of the NCAA.

Highlights & Notes  

• First-year Elizabeth Lowry led the Hollins squad with a final time of 26:26.7. Madison Freideman was next just seconds behind her teammate when she crossed the line in a time of 26:47.8. Lowry trimmed over two minutes off her best 6K time while Freideman just missed her season best at that distance.
• Senior Sylvia Guillet trimmed over 10 seconds off her season best 6K with a final time of 29:11.1.
• Rounding out the quartet for HU would be Natalie Sullivan at 32:30.8.

Up Next: Hollins will compete at the 2025 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 1^st. The 6K championship race will take place in Harrisonburg and be hosted by Bridgewater College.
