The Lead: Saturday would see the Hollins volleyball team take on a pair of opponents. The Green and Gold would host Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foe Virginia Wesleyan before hosting New River Community College. The Marlins raced out to a 2-0 lead before Hollins took the third set to close the gap. In the end, VWU would claim the ODAC win, 3-1. 30-minutes later, Hollins took the court against a game New River squad. However, the home team would earn the split with a 3-0 sweep of the Muskies.

Highlights 

• The Marlins would get the best of Hollins by the scores of 10-25, 13-25, 25-23, 9-25.
• Hollins would see their quests tke a huge edge at the net, 44-25 kill advantage, to control the match throughout most of the morning.  
• Kenna Esquibel and Faith Schaefer each recorded six kills while Ellie Lynch would add four. 
• Carrie Nelson served three of HU's five aces and setter Zoe Brooks helped on 14 of the 25 kills.
• In the second match, HU dropped the Muskies by a line score of 25-16, 25-13, 25-21.
