The record setting season for Hollins would come to a close against the Owls in a non-conference match. Hollins used 14 service aces and a 34-22 kill edge to control the match throughout most of the afternoon on their way to a 3-0 win over Warren Wilson.

Highlights
  • Hollins defeated Warren Wilson 25-7, 25-12 , 25-18.
  • HU raced out to an 8-0 lead on the back of a trio of Laken Tingler service aces. After two Owl points, Hollins used kills by Abby Neel and Cassidy Henderson in conjunction with two Bella Schultz aces to put the set away with a 7-0 surge.
  • Set two started much the same way as Schultz served two winners coupled with a trio of Henderson kills and Hollins was up 8-0 on their way to a 2-0 lead.
  • A 4-0 run aided by an ace by Norah Madrey broke open a tie score. The teams would trade points the rest of the way. One final kill by Sydney Mitchell sealed the 3-0 sweep of the Owls and allowed Hollins to end the 2026 campaign with a home win.
  • Henderson wrapped up her Hollins career with a match high 10 kills, giving the senior 447 during her four seasons. Madrey had six kills and two blocks with Mitchell finishing with five kills in her final match.
  • Schultz (5) and Tingler (4) served nine of HU's 14 aces. Tingler handed out 16 assists while Evelyn Harris added nine. Hollins third senior Fin Bolt led the back row with a team high eight digs.
Up Next: Hollins finished the season after reaching a couple of milestones along the way. Hollins defeated Sweet Briar on the road for their first Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win since 2019. The Green and Gold then returned home to face Averett and with the win over the Cougars, had picked up back-to-back ODAC wins for the first time this century.
