Lynchburg, VA - Saturday afternoon marked the first of two consecutive road trips to Lynchburg, VA.  Randolph College was the first opponent before Hollins will have to get on the vans and travel back to the Hill City to face ODAC and national power Lynchburg College in their regular season finale on Wednesday afternoon.

Neither team could get much going in the early stages of the match.  However, Randolph struck first, netting a pair of goals in a four minute span to pull out to the lead.  Despite playing shorthanded and facing 33 first half shots, the Hollins defense showed signs of strength by keeping the WildCats off the board.  Just past the midway point of the first half, Hollins began to crack under the Randolph pressure.  Three WildCat goals during the final 20 minutes of the first frame allowed the home team to take a comfortable lead into the break.  The second half saw more of the same, 26 Randolph shots were taken with four finding the back of the Hollins net.  The WildCats sent their visitors back to the Roanoke Valley with a 9-0 ODAC loss.

Megan McKee (Madison, AL) stopped 23 of the 32 Randolph shots that were on target, giving the sophomore keeper one more double digit save outing on the season.

Brittany Hammons scored a pair of goals on her game high 17 shots.  Hammons added an assist while Erin McClelland added two goals and an assists and Leslie Harrison gave Randolph three, two goal scorers for the afternoon.  A trio of WildCats added one goal apiece and Amber Wampler came off the bench to hand out three helpers.  Stephanie Quirk started and was relieved by Quinn-Lynn Bates at halftime to record the shut out in goal.

Hollins will wrap up their season on Wednesday afternoon when they face the Hornets at 4:00pm.
