The Lead:Â The Hollins track & field team looked to end the 2026 outdoor season on a high note as they traveled to Harrisonburg to compete at the 2026 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The two-day championship meet was hosted by Eastern Mennonite and the Green and Gold looked to add to their record setting campaign after placing 7
th at the indoor championships in late February. The 7
th place finish and 28 points at the ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships were both the best in program history. The first day would see Hollins earn 12 points and finish the opening day in 7
th place out of the 11 competing conference schools.

Highlights & Notes  Â
Friday Events:
- 400m Prelims: The reigning 400m Outdoor Champions Jazmine Patterson took her first step in defending her crown by qualifying 5th in the 400m with a season best time of 58.41. Patterson guaranteed points by earning a spot in tomorrow's final.
- 200m Prelims: Patterson set another season's best mark at 25.92, just missing a spot in the finals by .12 of a second. First-year Kamani Watkins posted a time of 28.54 in her first event at the championships.
- Long Jump: Arianna Gomez was 7th leading a quartet of Hollins jumpers. Gomez finished at 5.22m with Madison Freideman posting a mark of 5.00m. Autumn Dale was next at 4.33m followed by Watkins at 4.26m.
- Shot Put: Sanaa Belton earned points with a 7th place finish when she set a new Hollins program record at 11.30m. Ja'Nyla Green finished at 9.16m
- High Jump: Freideman tied for the best individual finish of the day securing 5th place points at 1.52m, her personal best and just .03 off the school record.
- Hammer Throw: Belton added a 5th place of her own with a distance of 42.71m.
- Javelin: Watkins finished 14th with her season and personal best effort of 21.44m, the 5th best mark in the Hollins record book.
