Event:Â 2026 Jack M. Toms Invitational
Location:Â Lynchburg, Va. (University of Lynchburg)
The Lead:Â As Spring Break comes to an end for the Hollins campus community, the track & field team traveled to Lynchburg to compete at the 2026 Jack M. Toms Invitational, hosted by the University of Lynchburg. Hollins kept the record-breaking streak alive as two school marks and several personal bests would be recorded during the two-day meet.

Highlights & Notes  Â
Track Events:
- 100m: Jazmine Patterson posted a time of 13.13 in her first 100m race of the outdoor season.
- 200m: Patterson returned in the 200m and just missed a top 10, finishing 11th with a time of 26.08. Kamani Watkins also competed in the event, finishing in 28.87.
- 800m: Evelyn Keefer posted a collegiate best in her first 800m race of the outdoor season when she crossed the line in 2:50.68.
- 4x100m Relay: A new Hollins program record would be set when the team of Patterson, Keefer, Watkins, and Madison Freideman finished 8th with a program best time of 4:22.02.

Field Events:
- Hammer Throw: Sanaa Belton broke her own school mark with a throw of 41.18m, eclipsing her previous outdoor best of 40.77m.
- Long Jump: Freideman posted her outdoor best mark of 4.77m finishing ahead of teammate Autumn Dale at 3.98m.
- Shot Put: Belton was 13th at 10.80m while Ja'Nyla Green posted a distance of 9.09m.
- Triple Jump: Freideman set a personal best distance with a 12th place jump of 10.38m. Dale finished just two spots behind her fellow sophomore at 9.92m.
Up Next: The Green and Gold return to the Hill City in two weeks for the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic, April 10-11.
