Belton Named Academic All-District

The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2024-25 Academic All-District teams for men's and women's track & field / cross country. For the second consecutive season, Sanaa Belton earned the academic award for her stellar season in Track & Field.

The 2025 Academic All-District Women's Track & Field / Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined athletic performances and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes track & field / cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. To be eligible, an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and be ranked in the top 50 (in the region) in a single event (XC, indoor or outdoor).

Belton is a History major with a 3.88 grade Point Average (GPA). The junior earned the award by placing in the top-50 in the South Region in two Indoor events and three outdoor events. Indoor, Belton was 10th in the Region in the Weight Throw and 39th in the Shot Put. During the outdoor season, Sanaa was 24th in the Hammer, 41st in the Shot Put, and 46th in the Discus.

Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid July.
