The Lead: The 2025 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Swim Championships came to a close after four days and nights of competition at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro. Hollins finished 9
th out of 11 competing teams with 82 points.
Highlights:Â Â
- 200 Backstroke: Jada Deane just missed a spot in the Consolation Finals with a time of 2:45.67. Samantha Ferrer was next in a final time of 3:22.60.
- 100 Freestyle: Amanda Cash was the highest finishing HU swimmer with a time of 1:03.11. Cash was joined by Deane (1:04.05), Kyra Campbell (1:05.19), Brenna Rea (1:05.78), Mia Bollerer (1:08.66), and Nora Sorensen (1:08.99).
- 200 Breaststroke: Madeleine Freeman posted a finish of 2:59.01 while Rachelle Kilgore touched the wall in 3:19.42.
- 200: Butterfly: Sorensen was the lone HU swimmer in the event and the sophomore posted a time of 3:08.22.
- 1650 Freestyle: Arwyn Orr Paulk finished 14th with a time of 23:16.64.
- 400 Freestyle Relay: The quartet of Orr Paulk, Cash, Deane, and Freeman recorded Hollins best finish of the meet and wrapped up a 9th place finish when the team finished 8th in the relay with a time of 4:07.84.
