The Lead: Hollins traveled south the North Carolina to face Guilford College in their Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opener against the Quakers. The hosts would jump on Hollins early, scoring 12 consecutive points to take control. The Green and Gold would get closer in each set, but in the end, it was Guilford picking up their first ODAC win of the season, 3-0.

Highlights 

• Hollins fell to Guilford 7-25, 11-25, 22-25.
• Guilford scored the first 12 points of the match and cruised to a 25-7 opening set victory. The second frame went to the Quakers, 25-11, thanks in part to a 13-4 run midway through the set.
• Trailing 11-6, Hollins put together a 4-1 run to get back into the set. HU scored four of the final five points of the night, but it wasn't enough as Guilford picked up the 3-0 conference win.
• Cassidy Henderson recorded five kills with Dara Peterson and Aliyah Lightsey each posted a pair of kills. Evelyn Harris and Laken Tingler combined to assist on nine of Hollins 11 kills.
• Norah Madrey registered three blocks with Henderson and Lightsey each blocking two attacks apiece. Meredith Crawley paced the back row with six digs.

Up Next: Hollins is scheduled to make their home debut next Tuesday when Roanoke College makes the six mile trip north for a 6:30pm start.
