Jasmine Greene ‘13 and Nancy Peterson Selected for Induction into the ODAC Hall of Fame

FOREST, Va. — For the second time in as many years, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) and its member schools kick off a new academic year with the announcement of the 2026 class of the ODAC Hall of Fame.

This year's second-ever class of conference stars features 36 of the best student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and contributors towards the league's rich history of excellence. The ODAC Hall of Fame now showcases 86 standouts following the inaugural class of 50 honorees in 2025-26 as the linchpin of the conference's 50th year anniversary celebration.

"The announcement of our second Hall of Fame class is another chance to celebrate the people who have helped make the ODAC what it is today," explained ODAC Commissioner Brad Bankston. "Each honoree has their own story, but they all made a lasting impact on our conference and helped set the standard for those who came after them. We're proud to recognize what they accomplished and excited to celebrate the lasting mark they've made on the ODAC."

Hollins University proudly announces that Jasmine Greene ('13) and Nancy Peterson have been selected for induction into the ODAC Hall of Fame, one of the conference's highest honors recognizing individuals whose achievements and impact have left a lasting legacy on their schools, the conference, and Division III athletics.

The induction recognizes two of the most influential figures in Hollins athletics history: a record-setting basketball standout and a legendary equestrian coach whose accomplishments helped shape the university's athletic tradition for decades.

Jasmine Greene ('13)
One of the most accomplished players in Hollins basketball history, Jasmine Greene rewrote the program record book during her four-year career from 2009 to 2013. Greene earned ODAC Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman after averaging 19.2 points per game, ranking among the nation's leading scorers.
A three-time All-ODAC selection, including First Team All-ODAC honors as a senior, Greene finished her career as Hollins' all-time leading scorer with 1,760 points. She also established program records in assists (393) and steals (270) while becoming one of the most dynamic all-around players to ever wear the Green and Gold.
After graduation, Greene continued her playing career, doing a tour of Brazil with a USA-based team. She also played professionally in Australia, semi-pro basketball in Tuscon, AZ, as well as traveling to Mexico for a women's basketball tour.

Nancy Peterson
For nearly half a century, Nancy Peterson was synonymous with excellence in collegiate equestrian competition. Joining Hollins in 1972 and serving the university for 46 years, Peterson built one of the premier riding programs in the nation and established Hollins as a perennial championship contender.
Under Peterson's leadership, Hollins riders captured 19 IHSA individual national championships, two Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) national team championships (1993 and 1998), and four prestigious Cacchione Cup titles. Her teams qualified for 12 IHSA National Championships and dominated conference competition, winning 21 ODAC equestrian championships, including an incredible 15 consecutive titles from 1988 through 2002.
Peterson was named ODAC Coach of the Year five times and received the IHSA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007. Her remarkable career has also been recognized through induction into multiple equestrian halls of fame, including the IHSA Hall of Fame and the Hollins Athletics Hall of Fame.

Together, Greene and Peterson represent the very best of Hollins athletics: competitive excellence, leadership, and a commitment to inspiring others. Their induction into the ODAC Hall of Fame celebrates not only their individual accomplishments but also their enduring impact on Hollins University and the conference as a whole.
