The Lead: For the first time in 2025, the Hollins soccer team went on the road when they made the trip to Staunton to face Mary Baldwin. The home standing Squirrels struck first, netting the first goal of the match at the midway point of the first half. The Hollins defense kept it close but a second Mary Baldwin score to start the second half was too much for HU to overcome, falling on the road, 3-0.

Highlights
  • Mackenzie Shores scored her first of two goals on the afternoon with a shot that found the back of the net at the 26:58 mark of the first half.
  • The home team enjoyed a 10-1 advantage in shots on goal in the first half. HU had a couple of chances in the opening minutes but a shot by Evelyn Keefer was saved and an attempt by Evelin Lemus-Arriaga was just outside the right post.
