The Lead: The Hollins swim team made the trip to Lexington to compete at the 2025 Keydet Invite, hosted by the Virginia Military Institute (VMI). The three-day meet featured 10 NCAA DI and DIII teams and consisted of 18 different races. The Green and Gold accumulated 120 points and finished eighth in the 10-team field.  

Highlights:
Relays:  

• The Hollins quartet of Abby Marmorstein, Jessica Lopez, Jada Deane, and Brenna Rea finished 7^th in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:10.54.
• In the 800 Freestyle Relay, Marmorstein, Rea, Lopez, and Madeleine Freeman were 6^th when they touched in 9:45.02.
• Deane, Lopez, Rea, and Freeman posted a time of 4:21.04 to be 6^th in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
• The 200 Freestyle Relay would see Deane, Marmorstein, Rea, and Freeman secure 9^th place points (1:57.11).
• Marmorstein, Lopez, Deane, and Freeman finished the 400 Medley Relay in a final time of 4:57.58 to finish 8^th.

Individual:

• Freeman and Addison Jones made the Finals in the 200 Freestyle. Freeman recorded 2:21.74 in the Final after posting a time of 2:22.57 in the Prelims. Jones went 2:45.57 in the Final after securing her spot with 2:42.53 in the preliminary round.
• In the 100 Breaststroke, Freeman earned a spot in the finals with a time of 1:27.98 to qualify. The senior posted a finals time of 1:26.02. Lopez just missed the Finals with a finish of 1:28.49 in the prelims.
• Marmorstein earned her way to the finals with a time of 1:05.86 in the 100 Backstroke. In the Finals, Abby posted a time of 1:07.82. Deane finished three spots out of the final heat with a time of 1:10.41 in the early rounds.
• Deane touched the wall in 2:40.56 to make the Finals of the 200 Backstroke. In the final heat, Jada finished 13^th with a time of 2:35.57.
• HU sent a trio into the prelim round of the 100 Freestyle and Rea (1:04.64) earned a trip to the finals. Jones (1:15.90) and Seydi Garay-Alfaro (1:53.54) just missed joining their teammate in the Final. Rea finished the event with a time of 1:04.64.
• Freeman qualified with a time of 3:09.08 and went on to post a Finals time of 3:02.29 in the 200 Breaststroke.
• The longest race of the weekend, the 1650 Freestyle would see Lopez finish 16^th with a time of 22:59.48.
