The Lead: After opening the 2026 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships with a relay event last night, Hollins was back in the pool on Thursday morning. for the prelims of the 500 Freestyle and 50 Freestyle. In the evening session the Green and Gold sent out a team in the 200 Freestyle and 400 Medley Relay.

Events:

• 500 Freestyle: Jessica Lopez touched ahead of teammate Kyra Campbell in the 32-swimmer field. Lopez recorded a final time of 6:34.55 while Campbell completed the event in 6:54.06 as the duo finished back-to-back in the preliminary standings.
• 50 Freestyle: 50 conference swimmers were entered into the shortest and fastest event of the meet. Brenna Rea paced the HU trio with a time of 29.04. Addison Jones was next at 34.37 followed by fellow first-year Seydi Garay-Alfaro at 49.33.
• 200 Freestyle Relay: The Hollins team of Madeleine Freeman, Campbell, Lopez, and Rea came home 8^th with a final time of 2:00.28, besting their arch rivals from Sweet Briar by almost 30 seconds.
• 400 Medley Relay: Abby Marmorstein joined Freeman, Campbell, and Rea to claim another 8^th place spot with a time of 5:00.94.

Up Next: Hollins will be back in the pool tomorrow morning for the prelims at 10pm before returning at 6:00pm for the Finals. The prelim events contested in the morning include: 400 Individual Medley (IM), 100 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, and 100 Backstroke.
