The Lead: For the final time this season, the Hollins soccer team played a non-conference match when they welcomed Regent University to campus for an afternoon start. HU dominated play in the Royals end during the first 45-minutes of play but came up empty, despite out shooting their guests 13-0. After the break, the match would remain tightly contested with each team hitting the post, and at the final horn, the match would end in a scoreless draw.

Highlights 

• With just over five minutes before the half, Brooklyn Howard sent a shot past the Regent defense, but the ball hit off the top crossbar, and the match would be 0-0 heading into the break.
• The Hollins defense did not allow a shot during the opening half while the offense had six shots on goal, and one shot off the crossbar.
• During the second half, each team would record a shot on goal, and each team would hit a post, but neither team could break the tie.
• In the opening minutes of the second stanza, Izzy Workman appeared to break the scoreless tie but once again the ball caromed off the crossbar. At the 72-minute mark, Regent sent the ball past the Hollins defense before sending the shot off the left post.
• Evelyn Keefer led the Green and Gold with seven shots, two on goal while Workman attempted four shots, two on net and one off the post.
• Raynia Russell got three shots off and HU got two shots apiece from Howard, Hayley Ponn, and Valtinique Simmons.
• T Shover got the start in goal and didn't face a shot before being relieved by Grace Glerum at halftime. Glerum mode one stop on the only shot on goal.
