HighlightsÂ
- Hollins fell to the WildCats 25-15, 21-25, 22-25, 19-25.
- A Sophia Maurer ace capped a 7-2 start to the evening. After a Randolph point, Aliyah Lightsey recorded three consecutive kills to help HU to an 8-1 run to put the first set out of reach.
- Lightsey and Cassidy Henderson recorded winners as Hollins used a 5-0 run to make it 23-21 in the second, only to see the Cats regain control and tie the match at 1-1.
- After back-to-back kills by Ivy Collins, Hollins appeared poised to retake the lead when they enjoyed a 17-12 edge in the third set. However, Randolph would again rally with a run of their own, five straight and 10 of the final 14 to take a 2-1 lead.
- Trailing by one, a Konner Myers kill followed by a Norah Madrey ace and another Lightsey point, HU was up 13-11. Eight straight WildCat points would all but end the night as Hollins could not stave off another Randolph rally.
