The Lead: The Hollins soccer team went on the road for the final time in 2025 when they made the trip to Harrisonburg. Eastern Mennonite welcomes Hollins on Saturday afternoon, and it would be the road them that struck first. However, the Royals responded with a pair of scores and took a 2-1 lead into the break. The Green and Gold could not answer as Eastern Mennonite would hold on for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win, 4-1.

Highlights
  • Just over eight minutes into the match, Evelin Lemus-Arriaga found senior Izzy Workman and Hollins found themselves in front 1-0.
  • The score would remain the same until the Royals netted the equalizer at the 17-minte mark and with 15:00 left before the half, EMU took their first lead of the afternoon.
  • The two teams would exchange shots before the Royals added to their advantage. After the home team pushed their edge to 4-1, Evelyn Keefer got loose and had a chance to cut into the lead, but the shot was saved by the keeper, and Eastern Mennonite secured the ODAC win.
  • Lemus-Arriaga, Keefer, and Valtinique Simmons each recorded two shots. In goal, T Shover played all 90 minutes in goal and registered double-digit saves (15) for the seventh time this season.
Up Next: Hollins will host Lynchburg on Thursday in their season finale. The match with the Hornets is scheduled to start at 3:00pm on Berkley Field.
