The Lead: Wednesday night marked a return to her home court when Hollins played host to Randolph College. HU and the WildCats came into the game with identical 4-5 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) records in the standings. Hollins struggled from the field for much of the first half and found themselves down, 36-16, at the half. The second 20 minutes was more of the same as HU shot just 14% for the game in falling to Randolph, 65-30.

Highlights
  • Neither team got off to a quick start and when Cabria Mutz scored in the paint coming out of the media timeout, Randolph led 5-2. Mutz hit two free throws about a minute later but that would be all the scoring for Hollins and they trailed 11-4 after one quarter of play.
  • The first two minutes of the second period would see a Sarah Morales jumper and offensive rebound and score by Mutz to make it 18-8. The 10-point deficit would be as close as Hollins would be throughout the night and the WildCats carried a 20-point lead into the locker room.
  • A 7-0 Randolph run was stopped by a three-pointer by Grayson Alfano. Hollins only got individual free throws by Noelani Carter and Mutz for the final 5:00of the third frame as Randolph continued to grow their advantage.
  • HU wouldn't score for the first six minutes of the fourth quarter. Alfano hit another three and Missy Hazard connected on her third long range jumper of the night that led Hollins to an 8-2 run to close the game but in the end, Randolph would pass Hollins in the ODAC standings.
  • Mutz just missed a double-double with eight points, 16 rebounds, and two blocks. Hazard added nine while Alfano finished with six points. Morales added six boards, three assists, and two steals with Alfano adding a pair of blocked shots and five rebounds.
