The Lead: Hollins took the court in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action for the first time this season when Washington and Lee came to Roanoke. The Generals used a 6-0 run to seize control of the opening set. After taking the opener, Washington and Lee carried that momentum to a 3-0 ODAC win over Hollins.
Highlights 

• HU fell to W&L by the score of 20-25, 14-25, 13-25.
• Hollins trailed by 15-17 before W&L used a 6-0 spurt to take control of the match.
• The Generals would enjoy a 40-28 edge at the net.
• Alyssa Reed led Hollins with nine kills, seven digs, and a pair of service aces. Sophia Maurer added six kills and a team high eight digs.
• Rachel Hull assisted on 24 of HU's 28 kills and served two aces. Aliyah Lightsey and Reed combined for Hollins lone block of the night.
