The Lead: For the second time in a 24-hour period the Hollins soccer team took the field. After opening the season with a win, the Green and Gold went to Washington (D.C.) looking to start the 2024 campaign 2-0. Hollins scored early and often, building a big first-half lead on their way to a 12-0 road win over the Tigers. The win was the first two game win streak for Hollins over NCAA competition since the fall of 2016.
Highlights
- Hollins got on the board less than a minute into the match when Adelie Condra scored for the second day in a row. After another Condra score, Eveyln Keefer scored back-to-back and HU was off and running.
- After building a 7-0 halftime edge, Hollins cruised to a 12-0 win.
- Keefer scored five goals while Condra added three scores. Izzy Workman and Evelin Lemus-Arriaga each added one score and two assists.
- T Shover picked up her second win of the season and has yet to be scored on. Grace Glerum relieved her goalkeeping teammate as the duo combined for the shutout.
