The Lead:Â After starting the season 2-0, Hollins opened the home portion of the 2024 campaign with a visit from Brevard on Saturday afternoon. Bot teams would bring perfect, 2-0, records into the non-conference matchup. The Tornadoes would strike quickly and build a sizable lead at the break. Despite a couple of good scoring chances, Hollins could not rally and fell for the first time this season.

HighlightsÂ
- Just over a minute into the matchup, Brevard got the game's first good chance. Off a corner kick, the Tornadoes would find the back of the net for the early advantage.
- The first half would be played in front of the Hollins net. However, about midway through, Evelyn Keefer got free on a pass ahead from Adelie Condra. However, the Brevard keeper was able to make the stop and HU trailed at the half.
- The second half was played even until a late surge by the visitors would make the final score, 11-0.
- Keefer led Hollins with a pair of shots on goal. In net, T Shover got the start and recorded four saves before being relieved. Grace Glerum traded in her field jersey for her keeper shirt and registered seven saves, all in the second half.
