The Lead: For the final time in 2024, the Hollins soccer team was on the road. A second consecutive trip to Lynchburg would see the Green and Gold play the Hornets on an early Wednesday evening. Lynchburg scored early to seize control of the matchup. The Hornet defense did the rest keeping Hollins off the board in a 10-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win.

Highlights
  • Lynchburg scored twice in the opening minutes of the match. As the lights came on so did the Hornet offense, using an 18-2 first half shot edge to take a 6-0 lead into the half. Hollins narrowed the gap in shots, 12-4, but couldn't mount a comeback, following to their hosts 10-0.
  • Trailing 3-0, Evelyn Keefer got loose but sent her shot over the right top corner of the goal. With 10 minutes to play before the break, Adelie Condra sent a shot on goal that was saved by the Hornet keeper.
  • Midway through the second half, Hollins had another chance when a Grace Glerum shot was saved to keep HU off the score board.
  • T Shover recorded 10 saved in goal before giving way to Zoe Baxter who made one stop.
Up Next: Hollins wraps up the regular season on Saturday when they host Eastern Mennonite at 1:00pm on Berkley Field.
