The Lead: The annual matchup of cross-town, Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rivals took place in Salem on Wednesday afternoon when the Green and Gold made the short trip to face Roanoke College. The Maroons welcomed Hollins with a pair of scores in the opening minutes. A 7-0 lead at the break would lead to an 8-0 win by the Maroons.

Highlights 

• The first 45-minutes of play would see the home team enjoy a 25-2 shot edge. Despite six saves by T Shover, the Maroons took a big lead into the break.
• The second half was a much more tightly contested affair. The Hollins defense cut the Roanoke opportunities in half, holding the Maroons to just a single score.
• Shover went the distance in goal, recording 11 saves, her fourth double-digit save game, all against ODAC competition.
• Evelyn Keefer and Jazmin Fitzgerald combined for all four of Hollins shots.

Up Next: Hollins returns home on Saturday with a visit from Bridgewater in ODAC play. The match with the Eagles is scheduled to start at 2:00pm on Berkley Field.
