The Lead: The Hollins volleyball team started a week long road trip with a stop to face Washington and Lee on Tuesday evening. The Green and Gold were much more competitive the remainder of the match but would still fall to the Generals, 3-0, in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.

  • The Generals would score the first seven and 13 of the first 14 points of the match to seize control. During the three sets, W&L used a 29-19 hitting advantage to control the action for much of the match.
  • Hollins got to within seven late in the second set but couldn't complete the comeback.
  • Trailing 6-2, Sophia Maurer served HU to even at 6-6 in the third frame. However, the home team used a 12-3 run to end any comeback hopes for HU.
