The Lead: Hollins started the 2023 campaign with a visit from Salem College on Friday afternoon. In front of a big home crowd, Hollins would see the visitors strike for an early score. Hollins would attempt three first half shots but trailed at the break, 4-0. Salem would add to the lead throughout as Hollins fell to the Spirits, 7-0, in their home and season opener.
Highlights
- Sophia Ciatti and Izzy Workman paced the offense with a pair of shots each.
- On the back line, Tate Hurley made a great defensive play at the 7:07 mark of the first half to keep Hollins close.
- Cat Bussani got the start in goal and registered seven saves on the afternoon.
