The Lead:Â After earning a non-conference split over the weekend, Hollins was back in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play with a mid-week trip to Ferrum. The Panthers used a quick start coupled with HU miscues to race out to an early, 1-0 advantage. In the second, Ferrum saw Hollins start with a 3-1 run but answered with an 8-0 surge to take control of the match. The third frame was close but the home team closed the match by winning eight of the final 10 points for the 3-0 sweep of Hollins.

- Hollins lost to Ferrum: 12-25, 19-25, 22-25.Â
- A 10-3 run midway through the first set coupled with 13 HU hitting errors allowed Ferrum to enjoy a 1-0 lead.
- Leading 3-1, HU would see four Panther kills and five Green and Gold miscues lead to a 10-0 run that put the visitors down 2-0.
- A Sophia Maurer kill, and pair of service aces would help put Hollins up 19-16. After the teams exchanged points, FC finished the match on an 8-2 run to claim the ODAC win.
- Cassidy Henderson led the HU attack with seven kills while Maurer added four kills, two service aces, and two digs. Jaelyn Werley had 13 assists and 10 digs with Zo Miranda recording a team-high 13 digs. Faith Schaefer had two assisted blocks to go with a trio of kills.
Up Next:Â Hollins will host The Crown College and Appalachian Bible on Saturday in a tri-match starting at 11:00am.
