The Lead: The University of Lynchburg came to Hollins for a Friday night Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match. The match would be tightly contested with the Hornets just edging Hollins in each of the first three sets to take the conference match.

Highlights 

• Lynchburg defeated Hollins by the score of 25-20, 25-23, 25-22.   
• After falling in the first set, Hollins would see set number two tied at 23 before a pair of Hornet points gave the set to Lynchburg. The third set would be just as close but once again the visitors used a late surge to take the set, and the match.
• Sophia Maurer led the Hollins attack with 12 kills while Carrie Nelson added seven with Faith Schaefer and  Kenna Esquibel having six. Maurer and Nelson would also combine for five Hollins blocks.
• Setter Zoe Brooks handed out 19 assists for the Green and Gold with Jaelyn Werley having six helpers and a pair of service aces. Esquibel (12), Maurer (7) and Ellie Lynch (7) led the back row in digs.
