The Lead: Hollins was back on the road in conference play on Tuesday when they made the trip north to face Shenandoah. The teams would split the first two sets with the Hornets taking the third, 25-23. Shenandoah carried that momentum to take the match, 3-1.

Highlights 

• Shenandoah defeated HU by the score of 25-16, 26-28, 25-23, 25-13   
• Hollins used a 3-0 run, including a set clinching service ace from Sophia Maurer to take the second set and tie the match.
• Shenandoah would re-take the lead when they won the final two points of set three and went on to close out the match, thanks in part to an 11-4 kill edge in the fourth frame.
• Maurer had 12 kills, four blocks, 12 digs, and a pair of aces. Carrie Nelson added eight kills while Selena Wolfe had five kills and a pair of blocks.
• Zoe Brooks and Jaelyn Werley combined for 21 assists with Kenna Esquibel adding three helpers and eight digs.
