The Lead: Hollins wrapped up their three match home stand to start the season when they hosted William Peace on Saturday afternoon. The Pacers raced out to an early lead thanks in part to 34 first-half shots. Hollins leveled the field in the second half but in the end, William Peace went back to North Carolina with the win.
Highlights
- Cat Bussani made 19 stops on the 23 shots on goal in the first half to keep Hollins in the match. Bussani came out with just over 20-minutes left in the second half and finished with 25 stops. T Shover took over in goal and recorded four saves of her own.
- In the second half, the Green and Gold had her best two scoring opportunities. Isabella Workman got the ball behind the defense down the left side but the shot was just wide to the left.
- Katie Christoffersen, two goals in the first to matches of the season, had a chance to make it three for three but the Pacer keeper made a diving stop.
Up Next: Hollins travels for the first time this season when they make the trip to face their arch rivals from Sweet Briar next Saturday.
