Box Score 3 Orlando, FL - The Hollins University tennis team celebrated Spring Break with her annual trip to Orlando, FL for a trio of matches. Hollins began play on Monday as they challenged Hamline University in their first of three consecutive days of action.
On Monday afternoon, Hollins fell to Hamline, 8-1. First-year Gaelin McLeod picked up the win at #1 singles be taking the match, 6-4 and 6-3. On Tuesday afternoon, Hollins came up short against a Hamilton squad that pushed their record to 7-2 on the season. At #6 singles, Elizabeth Rochow lost a hard fought first set, 3-6, in falling to Claudia Morse. In their finale on Wednesday, Hollins faced off with St. Catherines, falling to 0-3 for the week with a loss to the Wildcats.
Hollins will look to get back on track next week with a pair of scheduled Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rivals, Bridgewater and Randolph.
