Roanoke, VA -After having several matches postponed due to weather, Mary Baldwin was the opponent in Hollins home opener. The weather couldn't have been any better as Hollins raced out to a 3-0 advantage after the double matches.
Hollins didn't allow the changeover to singles matches halt their momentum. Victoria Coffee (Plano, TX) made short work of her opponent at #1 singles, 6-0 6-0, while her doubles partner and fellow senior Tiffany Hodges (Vinton, VA) won, 6-1 6-1, at #2 singles to stretch out the Hollins lead. Mary Baldwin avoided the sweep by winning at #6 singles in a thrilling three set affair.
With the win, Hollins runs their overall record to 1-1 and look to make it two in a row when they travel to face Averett on Sunday afternoon.
