Carlia Kearney of the tennis team is the Hollins Student-Athlete of the Week. This past week saw Hollins pick up their third win of the season and their first Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory. In a 5-4 win over Guilford, Kearney teamed with Mei Shalaby to earn a point at #3 doubles. In singles play, the senior fell in a first set tie-breaker, 7-4, before rallying to win the second set, 6-4. In the third and ultimately decisive set, Kearney posted a 6-2 win giving Hollins the 5-4 win at Guilford and evening their ODAC record to 1-1, 3-1 overall. The win was the third straight by the Green and Gold.
