Event: 2026 NCAA South Region Preview – 6K
Location: Charlottesville, Va. / Panorama Farms

The Lead: The Hollins cross country team tackled a 6K course for the first ti9me this season when they made the trip to Charlottesville to compete at the 2026 NCAA South Region Preview. The race was hosted by the University of Lynchburg and contested over the same course at Panorama Farms as the NCAA South Regional will be held in mid-November. Hollins placed 15^th out of a field of 16 competing schools featuring 128 runners.

Highlights & Notes  

• Hollins finished one point clear of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rival Randolph College and ahead of conference foes Sweet Briar and Eastern Mennonite
• Elizabeth Lowry led the Hollins quintet with 84^th place points in her time of 30:33.2.
• First year Caroline Grinton was next at 31:21.6 followed by sophomore Natalie Sullivan with a finish of 31:59.3.
• Sage Hall (33:36.5) and Alondra Reyes (38:55.3) rounded out the scoring for Hollins. Sophomore Mallory Foster (103) was just outside the top 100 scorers.

Up Next: The Green and Gold will have a near month long break from competition after opening the season with races on three consecutive weekends. Hollins will travel to Salem to compete at the Roanoke College event held at Green Hill Park on Saturday, October 17^th.
