The Lead:Â The Hollins basketball team took the court in the regular season finale looking to continue their historic season. With a win over the visiting Eagles of Bridgewater, Hollins would set the program record for wins and tie the for most Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) wins in a single season with eight. Bridgewater took a one-point lead into the second quarter, but a Hollins rally would tie the game at 28-28 at the half. HU opened an eight-point cushion only to see and Bridgewater response make it 40-39 with 10 minutes left to play. In the final minute Hollins led and hit 5-6 free throws to seal the ODAC win, 54-51.

- Bridgewater start the game on a 10-5 surge. A layup by Jacorra Russell and two free throws by Zaria Holden would close the gap. Noelani Carter tied the score at 10 apiece only to see the Eagles score five of the final nine points for a 15-14 advantage.
- A Russell tip-in and free throw by Carter would see the game tied at 17-17. Bridgewater pushed their lead to nine points, their largest of the afternoon, prompting a Hollins response. Ariana Gutierrez scored on a driving layup and Holden hit a three to start the Hollins comeback. Russell netted another transition bucket followed by another fastbreak basket by Morales. In the closing seconds, Holden scored off a Morales feed, and the game would be tied, 28-28, at the half.
- HU looked like it was breaking the game open when Erin Allen grabbed a rebound and scored on a put back. Morales hit a three-pointer and baskets by Holden, Gracie Huffard, and Russell saw Hollins with her largest lead, 40-32. The final five minutes belonged to the Eagles as the visitors closed the quarter on a 7-0 to make it a one-point Hollins lead.
- With less than 2:00 on the clock, the game was tied once again at 49-49. An Eagle turnover led to a foul giving Russell two free throws. The first year forward made both and HU was back in front. After a Bridgewater miss, Carter was fouled and hit both to push the lead to four. Morales made it a five-point advantage with 1-2 from the stripe. The Eagles scored and had to foul. Hollins missed both free throws, but a game tying three pointer was off the mark and the clock expired giving Hollins their eighth ODAC win of the season, matching the most in school history, 54-51.
- Holden led Hollins with 15 points while Russell finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, a block, and two steals. Carter added seven points, three boards, four assists, and six steals. Morales recorded six points, two rebounds, two helpers, and four steals. Huffard and Abby Kingery each grabbed seven rebounds in the win.
