The Lead:Â After sweeping a pair of matches on opening day, the Hollins volleyball team took aim at her first 3-0 start since the 2017 season. The Green and Gold played host to Mary Baldwin looking to keep the early season win streak alive. The first two sets were tightly contested with Hollins coming out on top to take a 2-0 advantage. The third set would see HU hold a 22-21 lead late in the frame. Hollins took three of the final five points to earn a 3-0 win over the visiting Squirrels.

- Hollins defeated MBU 25-23, 25-22, 25-23.
- Leading by just a single point late in the third set, Hollins got a pair of kills from Cassidy Henderson to put Mary Baldwin away, 25-23, to earn their third consecutive victory.
- HU enjoyed a .161 to .030 hitting advantage on offense and a 5-1 block edge to be able to stave off the Squirrels.
- Henderson led the offense with nine kills while Alyssa Reed and Ivy Collins each recorded seven. Rachel Hull (14) and Anisia Dean (6) helped on 20 of the team's 30 kills.
- Collins served up four of HU's eight aces and joined Norah Madrey and Sophia Maurer to combine for five blocks at the net. Hull led the back row with nine digs.
