The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced the 2024-25 ODAC All-Academic teams. 65 Hollins student-athletes, after placing 66 on the 23-24 team, were honored by the conference.
To be eligible to be named ODAC All-Academic, a student-athlete must meet the following criteria:
- open to all students that were rostered on a team at an ODAC member school for one of its 25 championship sports
- 3.25 GPA or higher for the 2023-24 academic year only.
- eligible ODAC sports
- women's sports: basketball, cross country, equestrian, field hockey, golf, indoor track & field, lacrosse, outdoor track & field, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball
- men's sports: baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, indoor track & field, lacrosse, outdoor track & field, soccer, swimming, tennis, wrestling
ODAC student-athlete success is well-documented both in the athletic arena and in the classroom. The conference's level of academic achievement reached new heights this season with the announcement of the 2024-25 ODAC All-Academic Team.
2024-25 ODAC All-Academic Team highlights:
- A record number of student-athletes earned All-Academic - 3,365
- 12 schools set records for number of members
- 13 schools had more than 100 members
- Eight schools eclipsed the 200 mark
- 2nd straight year the ODAC has surpassed 3,000 overall
