The Lead: Hollins played host to their cross-town rivals from Roanoke College on Wednesday afternoon. HU would face a Maroon squad where the winner would notch their first Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win of the season. The visitors from Salem took the Doubles point after a sweep of the matchups. The individual matches would go the way of Roanoke as the Maroons built a 6-0 lead. The #1 Singles match would go into a third set tie breaker, but once again the Maroons would prevail.
Highlights:

• The match of the afternoon was between Peja Cruise and Lia Streibich at the top Singles spot. Cruise took the opener 7-5 but would fall in the second set, 3-6, to force a third and decisive set. With the tie breaker tied at 8-8, Streibich took the next two points for the 10-8 win.
• At #4 Singles, first-year Rachel Hull was in every game before finally falling, 6-3 and 6-1.
