The Lead: The Hollins volleyball team took the court for the final time during the 2025 regular season when they welcomed Lynchburg to campus on Wednesday night. Prior to the match with the Hornets, the team took an opportunity to thank faculty and staff members for all they do for the student-athletes and the campus community. Once the match got started, Lynchburg seized control early and eased out a 1-0 advantage. However, the second set would see a much closer contest. Trailing by one point, Hollins would see the Hornets use a 3-0 surge to take a 2-0 lead. Hollins battled back and used a 9-4 run to start the third. The visitors used a 7-0 run late in the frame to take a one-point edge only to see the Green and Gold win three straight points to take the set, 28-26. The packed gym was treated to a Hollins rally that was eventually stopped by a Lynchburg 9-2 run to close out the match, 3-1.
