The Lead:Â The final meet of the 2024 portion of the Hollins swim schedule was a trip to Washington (D.C.) to face Gallaudet. The Green and Gold won both relay races and took seven of the nine individual events en route to a 127-72 win over the Bison.
Highlights Â
- Jada Deane, Rachelle Kilgore, Nora Sorensen, and Mia Bollerer touched first in the 200 Medley Relay with a final time of 2:22.72.
- The meet's longest race would see Amanda Cash (14:26.45) finish just ahead of Arwyn Orr Paulk (14:38.31) to give HU a 1-2 start to the individual races.
- The shortest race, the 50 Freestyle, Deane claimed another set of first place points with a time of 29.02. Brenna Rea was 3rd in 30.41. Deane also picked up a win in the 100 Backstroke when the sophomore touched the wall in 1:16.81. Kyra Campbell was runner-up at 1:18.37.
- Bollerer won the 100 Freestyle at 1:10.46 and Rea was runner-up with a 1:14.76 finish. Macy Gibson was 1st (1:23.70) in the 100 Butterfly while Sorensen was runner-up (1:30.49). Gibson would return later in the meet for a runner-up finish in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 7:10.95.
- Madeleine Freeman won the 200 Individual Medley (IM) when she touched at 2:49.52, five seconds ahead of Campbell making it a 1-2 finish. Freeman was 2nd in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:23.21.
- Orr Paulk (1:29.31) and Kilgore (1:37.01) would give HU another 1st-2nd finish in the 100 Breaststroke.
- The final race, the 200 Freestyle Relay, was another win for Hollins. Orr Paulk, Rea, Campbell, and Freeman won in a time of 2:04.79.

Up Next:Â Hollins will take a month-long break to enjoy the holidays before wrapping up the regular season with a trip to face Greensboro College on January 18th.
