The Lead:Â Hollins returned home after spending the weekend in Lynchburg when the faced off with Guilford on Tuesday night. The match would be tightly contested throughout. However, each time the sets were approaching 25-points, it would be the Quakers that would come out on top in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup, 3-0.

- Hollins fell to Guilford: 23-25, 20-25, 23-25.Â
- Trailing 18-13, Hollins would score six of the next seven and when Sophia Maurer recorded back-to-back kills, the score was tied at 19-19. A Jaelyn Werley kill made it 23-22, but the visitors would score three straight to take the opening frame.
- HU was down just one point, 12-13 before Guilford went on a 5-0 run to take control of the second set.
- The Green and Gold looked to extend the match with a 20-10 lead in the third. Guilford used a 13-1 surge to take a 23-21 edge. Hollins got to within 23-24 but an attack error would end the match in favor of the Quakers.
- Maurer had 11 kills and seven service aces for Hollins. Selena Wolfe added seven kills and Makhaila Johnson finished with five. Zo Miranda led the team with 16 digs while Werley handed out 23 assists to go with an ace and assisted block. Alana Joyner registered two solo and an assisted block.
