The Lead: Hollins hosted her first swim meet of the 2023-24 season on Saturday when they welcomed Guilford and Sweet Briar for a tri-meet in the Northen Swim Center. After falling to Randolph and SBC last night, the Green and Gold used the home pool advantage to their favor as HU defeated the Quakers and Vixens in the 14-event tri-meet.

Highlights  

• Jada Deane, Rachelle Kilgore, Katherine Komarek, and Madeleine Freeman got the meet off to a quick start taking the 200 Medley Relay in a time of 2:14.54.
• Deane claimed an individual win in the 100 Backstroke when the first-year touched at 1:18.81. Jada added runner-up points in the 200 Backstroke (2:59.68).
• Komarek was 3^rd in the 1000 Freestyle and 200 Individual Medley while earning 1^st place points in a time of 29.88 in the 50 Freestyle.
• Samantha Ferrer gave HU another set of 1^st place points with a win in the 200 Butterfly. The junior also finished 3^rd in the 100 Backstroke and 3^rd in the 100 Butterfly.
• In the 100 Freestyle, Mia Bollerer was runner-up with a time of 1:12.66. Bollerer was 3^rd in the 200 Freestyle and in the 50 Freestyle.
• Freeman earned a runner-up finish in the 200 Freestyle (2:23.10) and 2^nd in the 200 Breaststroke (3:10.68).
• Amanda Cash finished the 500 Freestyle in 7:24.78 to earn 2^nd place points while adding 3rd in the 100.
• Kilgore claimed a runner-up finish in the 100 Breaststroke (1:25.66). Nora Sorensen claimed a trio of 4^th place finishes during the afternoon (100 Fly, 100 Free, and 50 Free).
• The afternoon ended with another relay victory when the quartet of Deane, Kilgore, Bollerer, and Freeman claimed top spot in the 400 Freestyle Relay (4:46.47).
