Meet: Tri-Meet vs Bridgewater and Sweet Briar (hosted in Farmville, Va. by Hampden-Sydney)  
Results: Eagles 196, Hollins 13 | Vixens 167, Hollins 20

The Lead: For the final time this regular season, the Hollins Swim team was in action as the traveled to Farmville (Hampden-Sydney) to compete in a tri-meet with Bridgewater and Sweet Briar. It marked the final competition for HU prior to the 2023 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Swim Championships next month. A short-handed Hollins squad would fall to both the Eagles and Vixens on Friday night.
Highlights & Notes   

• Madeleine Freeman posted a final time of 2:41.26 in the 200m Freestyle. Freeman returned later in the meet to record a time of 1:40.36 in the 100m Breaststroke and 3:40.78 in the 200m Breaststroke to finish in the top five.
• Samantha Ferrer was 6th with a time of 1:42.00 in the 100m Backstroke, just four seconds off her season best time. Ferrer would follow that up with a 5th place effort in the 100m Freestyle when she touched in 1:28.32. Her final event of the meet, the 100m Butterfly, would see the sophomore post a final time of 1:45.02.    

Up Next: Hollins will compete in the 2023 ODAC Swim Championships, February 8-11, in Greensboro, N.C.
