The Basics

The Lead: For the second time this season, the Hollins volleyball team was in action against Salem College. After falling to the Spirits at the 2022 Maroon Classic, the Green and Gold traveled to North Carolina looking to get even on the season. However, Salem took advantage of 20 Hollins attack errors to defeat their guests, 3-0.

Highlights 

• HU fell to Salem by a score of 25-9, 25-12, 25-18 
• Hollins would lose the kill battle, 36-29, but it was the 20-3 difference in attack errors that led to the Salem sweep.
• Kenna Esquibel led Hollins with eight kills while Carrie Nelson and Faith Schaefer added six apiece. 
• Zoe Brooks handed out 12 assists and Libero, Zoe Miranda led the back row with 14 digs.
