The Lead:Â The Hollins soccer team started a tough two-match road trip with a stop in Virginia Beach on Saturday. The Green and Gold would face a Virginia Wesleyan squad that had yet to taste defeat in conference play. The Marlins would jump out to an early, 3-0, advantage on their way to their fourth consecutive Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory, 9-0.
Highlights .
- 27 first half shots would see the home team dictate play for teh first 45-minutes. The second half would be played much closer but in the end, the Marlins enjoyed a 32-1 shot edge.
- Cat Bussani got the start in goal and played the first half, recording 10 saves. T Shover played the second half and made one stop.
- Bussani left the goal and went into the field and accounted for Hollins lone shot of the afternoon.
