The Lead: The Hollins volleyball team traveled to Maryland to play a season-ending tri-match with Trinity (DC) and Hood. The Green and Gold would earn the split. After picking up their 10th win of the season over Trinity, Hollins fell to the host Blazers, 3-0, to wrap up regular season play.

Highlights 

  • HU beat the Tigers by the score of 25-6, 25-3, 25-2.
  • Hollins used a 22-2 kill edge to go with 51 service aces to control the matchup.  
  • Ellie Lynch led the net attack with nine kills while Selena Wolfe and Faith Schaefer added five apiece.
  • Zoe Brooks had 19 service aces with Schaefer adding 10 and Kenna Esquibel recording seven. Brooks had 20 assists on the 22 HU kills. 
  • In the second match, HU fell to Hood by a line score of 25-15, 25-16, 25-18
  • Esquibel had nine kills, two aces, and eight digs. Lynch added six kills and Schaefer finished with four.
  • Brooks added 18 more assists to her career total while Zoe Miranda led the back row with 11 digs.

Up Next: That puts a wrap on the regular season, Hollins would finish with double digit wins but failed to earn a berth in the ODAC Volleyball Tournament. .
