Basketball Tames Tigers on Senior Day

Box Score

ROANOKE, Va. - I've got a riddle for you...Cecelia Riddle that is.

The guard from Kansas, who was celebrating senior day as the lone senior on the Hollins basketball team, netted a career- and game-high 16 points, to go along with seven rebounds, en route to a dominating 82-13 win over the Tigers of Trinity University Washington.

How It Happened

Saturday was one of those games where everybody got good playing time and made the most of it.

Playing a Trinity team that only had five players dressed for the game, Hollins was able to get at least 12 minutes to all 11 active team members. On top of that, all 11 women had at least three points.

Riddle, who was picking up her first start of the season, led the way for the Green and Gold with her offensive output. Serena Lytton chipped in 15 points to go with six rebounds while Kayla Surles added 11 points and six steals. In total, the Hollins defense came away with 25 steals on the game and turned those into 60 of their 82 points. Hollins also added 33 points off the bench.

Stat of the Game

-With the win. Hollins now has 11 on the season, which is the second most in program history. They need just one more in their final four games to tie the school record.

What's Next

Hollins will get back to ODAC play on Wednesday when they welcome Ferrum to campus. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 pm.
