Box Score Event: Tennis - Hollins at Trinity Washington (Washington, DC)
The lead: After being out of action for almost two weeks, the Hollins tennis team began their month of April with a two-match road trip. The first stop would be in the nation's capital to face Trinity College (D.C) in a non-conference matchup.
The result: Hollins 7-2
How it happened: Hollins would enter the match shorthanded, traveling only five players for the match with the Tigers. Despite giving Trinity two points, with forfeits at #3 doubles and #6 singles, the Green and Gold would sweep the other seven matches to earn their second consecutive win.
Hollins notes:
- Kateri Johnson teamed with Juliette Baek to win (8-0) at #1 doubles. The partners would each earn 6-0 and 6-0 wins in singles play as well.
- Sarah Jordan Snoddy added a fourth shut-out when she won, 6-0 and 6-0, at #2 singles.
- The #2 doubles duo of Alexis Morring and Anna Holland won their first match as a team as well as winning their singles matches
What's next: Hollins will stay in northern Virginia overnight before making a stop in Winchester for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match with Shenandoah tomorrow afternoon.
