Hollins Falls To Yellow Jackets

Box Score

Roanoke, VA -The Hollins University tennis team returned home after starting the season with three straight Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponents.  Randolph-Macon, currently tied atop the conference standings, came into the matchup having yet to taste defeat this spring and Hollins would need her best effort to pull the upset.

The Yellow Jackets wasted little time in taking control of the match.  Hollins failed to record a win as the visitors swept the doubles events to take a 3-0 lead.  The #3 doubles team of Neha Batool and Wibecka Oliver made the best showing, falling 8-3.

Hollins would need to make up ground during the, six, singles matches.  However the road team continued to enjoy success up and down the lineup.  Randolph-Macon once again earned a sweep and took the match, 9-0.

Hollins will not be back in action until Spring Break.  The team will travel to Orlando, Florida to play three matches in three days, starting on Monday March 21st when they face Hamline University.
