Weyers Cave, VA -The Hollins University equestrian team was in Bridgewater for the Eagles Spring show on Saturday afternoon.  Hollins earned a top 10 finish in the event as well as seeing a pair of riders earn blue ribbons.

During the show, seven different Hollins riders earned top three finishes.  Aoife Magner brought home a first place finish in Open Fences while fellow first-year Mara Smith finished atop the field in Advanced Walk Trot Canter.  Smith finished third in the same event last week at the Sweet Briar/Lynchburg show.  A quartet of Hollins riders earned third place ribbons.  Lucy Smith was top three in Novice Flat while Megan Gilgert brought home a third in Novice Fences.  After finishing first one week ago, Abigail Strohmeyer recorded a third place finish in Intermediate Fences with August Roth earning her ribbon in Beginning Walk Trot Canter.

Hollins will host their IHSA event next weekend on campus.
